Witness in Pratt Korbel case received ‘most death threats in Merseyside police history’

  1. Massive, massive respect for the witness. She put her life in danger, and pretty much sacrificed her entire personal life (due to having to be put in witness protection for several decades at best) to put this monster behind bars.

I hope she gets plenty of support on the witness protection program.

  2. This women is beyond brave. She put a child murdering piece of filth behind bars, but sadly the rest of the scum can’t accept that. Imagine the torture for Olivia’s family had her killer not been caught and convicted. It would absolutely destroy the mum!

The police should now go above and beyond to protect the witness as she deserves the very best.

I also hope Cashman is excited for his 4 decades in prison. No summer holidays for quite a while.

  3. Can someone explain this to me, surely the witness has been given some anonymity already and so how would they receive said threats? And similarly if they didn’t, then those send abuse/threats would know of them personally and so you just just go after them straight off the bat?

  4. Imagine being such a criminal and scumbag that you threaten a witness in a child murder?

Think of the worst people you went to school with, now add in that they are protecting hundreds of thousands per year in drug dealing profit. They will happily kill others to protect their money or stay out of prison, even if innocent mothers and children are caught in the crossfire.

  5. She was a woman that had been kinda friendly with him a couple of times. She knows him intimately, So I take it she will be known by at least some of his friends.

  6. Not that I’m saying they should have been lenient, but Nathan Matthews got 33 years for sexually abducting his sister, murdering her and dismembering her. 9 years less. She was 16. Just saying sentencing consistency doesn’t make a lot of sense

  7. Can someone with some legal knowledge explain to me how he was convicted of murdering the girl if he clearly intended to kill someone else? Wouldn’t that by definition be manslaughter?

  8. We need to smash the don’t grass culture especially in Liverpool. If the mum and family are up to it they should go to schools explaining their story and how the killer of a child would’ve got away with it if it wasn’t for someone doing the right thing.

  9. What the fuck is wrong with these criminals. I get there is a supposed code of not talking to the police, but a child was killed, that should override this.

  10. I understand grassing adults on adults, you’ve broken the code. But grassing on a child killer, even the most toughest gangsters surely have a heart. It’s not like it’s the kid of a rival, just an innocent young girl.

  11. Can you imagine the scummy area they come from to defend a child killer. A population full of people who’ll defend a child killer. Jesus what a black hole of humanity.

  12. How disgusting to you have to be to essentially want to help the killer of a child get away with it just due to some “code” about grassing.

  13. Wonder what would happen if the police just straight up doxed whoever sent the death threats? Cruel and unusual, yes, but, effective?

  14. She’s given up her normal way of life to do the right thing. I hope Karma comes back for her. I really hope this scumbag gets his Karma too.

  15. Surely the real, old school gangsters in Liverpool will despise Cashman as much as anyone else, after all the attention he has brought the whole area. The person who has grassed on him has done what anyone else would do, it’s not grassing if a little girls been killed come on
