These dogs should be forbidden
Don’t forget people. Dogs are seen as objects in the law. So until that law remains NOTHING will happen if a dog kills another dog. And the w/o decent witnesses any scenario involving an humans is taken very lightly. No joke, finger in the butt works against pitbull lockjaw attacks.

Honden zijn wapens
Waarschijnlijk niet het moment, maar waarom was een 16-jarige pizza’s aan het leveren?
Een hond is een grote verantwoordelijkheid. Ik zou dit niet zomaar op de hond steken, eerder op de eigenaar. Het probleem is dat iedereen een hond in huis kan halen.
Bepaalde rassen hebben meer training en aandacht nodig. Krijgen ze die niet, gebeurd dit.

Maybe only tangentially related to this story, but anyways.
Went to my parents last weekend and while we were on their driveway talking, 2 girls (I estimated 14-15 yo) walked by, both with a stafford on a leash. As soon as the animals saw us, they started pulling towards us and barking. They didn’t correct their behavior, and instead were just giggling a bit. I honestly don’t understand how anyone would anyone would be so dumb to put these two animals in their hands, while it’s obvious they have no control over those dogs. Pretty sure the dogs weighed about as much as those girls, so had they decided to attack there’d be nothing they could’ve done.
Anyway, just wanted to rant a bit
The incompetence and lack of knowledge on dog breeds in these comments are mind boggling. Situations like these are always the responsibility of the owner. It’s insane we have bred these animals for specific looks and traits, have zero policy for adopting/raising dogs and everytime stuff like this happend, we all out the blame on the animal. WTF, take some responsibility assholes and learn how to take care of animal. Blame the owners, blame the goverment for lack of structure/policies but stop shifting the blame and the animal. As if shotting another one down, will solve the problem. Ignorant fools
Zoals de rest verteld. Het zijn de ‘baasjes’ die hier geen hond deftig kunnen opvoeden. Pitbulls kunnen de liefste honden ooit zijn maar het zijn de margies die ze opvoeden als ‘beschermingshond’. En dan krijg je dit.
When a herding dog displays herding behaviour, we all think it’s cute and the dog gets a treat.
When a violent killing machine dog displays violent killing machine behaviour, we’re all shocked and the dog needs to be disciplined or put down.
Point is, certain dog breeds are bred for certain things, you can’t deny a dog’s true nature. And certain things and natures don’t go mix well with a well adjusted society, for instance violent killing machines. Trying to deny this and blame the owners is ignorant at best and willfully evil at worst.

The owner should face criminal charges with potential jailtime and a huge fine + civil damages to be paid to the victim for life, considering the scars will also be for life + the dogs should be put down and the owner forbidden from having any sort of pet like that. And society should impose very strict rules to acquire such dogs, like mandatory training programs and regular inspections.
