  1. While on the subject of ticks, please check out Welsh born Brighton Singer songwriter Ren on You Tube, he spent 10 years seriously ill with misdiagnosed Lyme’s disease from a tick bite. What he went through has seriously shaped his music. And he is unbelievably talented.

  2. I pulled a tick out from my thigh about five weeks ago. I live in Greece and they are everywhere. It’s a common occurrence here.

  3. Friendly reminder that the tick population is about to explode now that the temperatures are warming, so at least we’ve got that to look forward to.

  4. It’s common in my home country. You pull it out and send to the laboratory straight away. Saves you years of being misdiagnosed.
In my case it was caught very quickly and treated. I hope there is something similar here. Right? Right?…

  5. As a long time sufferer of Lyme, fuck all this. I was misdiagnosed for years and am in remission but there were consequences that will last the rest of my life.

  6. Last time I went to the lake district, chilled out on the grass after a long walk, brought 4 of the fuckers back with me, didn’t even know they were a thing here.

  7. This is worrying but Lyme disease is more widespread and GPs are very ignorant to it . My brother was misdiagnosed for years despite telling them it was Lymes

  8. Anyone actually read this ? It’s not Lyme’s disease which is bacterial, it’s tickborn encephalitis which is viral and is brand new here , that can’t be cured .

  9. Looking forward to Lozza Fox and co. claiming this is some government mind control oppression and boldly declaring they will not comply with…..err…..something.

  10. I live and am from the UK, I’d worked in Pennsylvania for a few years, Lyme’s disease is very common there and is notoriously difficult to detect and treatment relies on early detection.
