Don’t worry, they’ll be very rare until the next presidential visit
Wonder why.
Just to clarify, they have been consistently flying low for over a month so I’m not sure it has anything to do with Biden. Sometimes they appear on flight radar and one that I tracked has gone as far as Poland.
Two flew low over my house this morning.
Came from Scotland, landed at Baldonnel. Seemed to fly approach a bit lower than commercial aircraft do.
Could hear the loud engine over Dun Laoghaire this morning. Was wondering if it was just in my head but thanks for confirming it was a C17.
They come in and out of baldonnell for the last year about 4 times a day , the sound is unreal
Which is pretty good. There’s something about the sound of those that’s so satisfying

It’s probably there to pick up US equipment from the airport. In the weeks leading up to Biden’s visit there were c17s dropping off equipment to service airforce one at Dublin and Ireland West airports.
They are picking up the absurd amount of equipment flown in for the Biden visit I’d say. They flew in their own plane stairs, fuel trucks, tug vehicles etc. You name it. They basically used all their own stuff.

His motorcade has to get back to the US someway and it’s not like everything fits on airforce 1. Will take multiple cargo planes multiple trips before all that shit is back home in addition to all the weapons & equipment they would have had here with them too.

I saw one of these flying really low over Crumlin the other day, almost like it was about to land in the park it was coming in at such an incline. The noise made me jump that’s for sure.
