Savage. All vulnerable people boosted and then some. Hopefully this omicron will be a bit of a damp squib in terms of hospitalisations/deaths, although I’m sure case numbers will explode over the next two weeks.
Hopefully we get on top of this and don’t need any tough restrictions 💉💪
Does anybody know if it’s strictly over 40s or whatever allowed to get the booster? Anecdotally I’ve heard some booster places aren’t even that busy at times, so if people aren’t arsed to get it immediately the rest of us shouldn’t have to wait for our age group.
Independent.ie reporting the County by County booster clinics but claiming Dublin has none today yet the HSE has a Clinic in Swords this morning. Yesterday they said the Swords Clinic had closed for the day after the morning large crowds. Yet HSE twitter had it open later. So much shoddy reporting isn’t helping.
I was one of them. Took about an hour from joining the queue to getting poked. Moderna to boost my previous Pfizer doses. Had a night of mad dreams and woke feeling hungover and chills but nothing serious. A hot shower, food, coffee and some ibuprofen and I feel a lot better. Delighted I was able to get it so soon.
HSE are posting approximate wait times on twitter and while not completely accurate it’s useful nonetheless.
I would wager not all GP figures are logged yet, either. My GP was doing (an amazingly efficient) booster clinic on Saturday and got through a lot of people.
Got mine last Thursday. HSE had texted an appointment too but my doctor rang me on Wednesday afternoon, jabbed by 10am the following. Got the flu jab as well because they are also concerned since fewer people got flu last year due to the restrictions.
I drove by the Galway racecourse yesterday around 3pm, looked quiet so I wandered in, no queues, I was in and out in under 5 mins. They said they were mad busy earlier in the day.
If your nearby, citywest is almost empty, I just flew through, sittingbin “recovery” I’d say if you just turned up …..
But it does close to walk ins at half 12
Edit its maderna they’re doing, if that matters to you
I was suppose to today – mate tested positive on two antigen tests Saturday morning, was with him Friday night. He still hasn’t gotten his PCR results back, after going to Croker on Saturday late afternoon.
I’ve tested negative Saturday, yesterday and this morning on antigen tests. Probably be after Christmas now before I can get one.
Lads possibly a silly question, but are the walk in clinics doing people with underlying conditions? The HSE website lists specific times for the clinics in dublin for different age groups but no mention of underlying conditions.
Anyone know if UCD is open?
Just a reminder that if you haven’t gotten boosted you will not only morally but soon effectively become an antivaxer! Please, get a booster shot at your nearest vaccination point or clinic, as a certain way to protect yourself from becoming antivaxx and the recommended and/or mandated way to decrease your susceptibility to the virus.
Yet be vaccinated, and yet to be sick since Christmas 2019 despite interacting with a lot of people and travelling quite a lot 🤣🤣 ope ye all enjoy going for your 4th jap so ye can go to for dinner in 6 months dopes
Remindme! 53 days.
So whens the next booster then I’m going to say April.
How do I get a booster? Will hse text me? Do I have to register?

Over 35.5% of eligible population jabbed.
11th globally for booster.
