Buried under snow when we arrived, these little boxes have now become exposed… What are they?

  1. Border marker, they are placed at the corners of property lines. Old ones are typically large tallish stones and have numbers on them.

  2. Property line markers installed by the government land surveyors. Leave them alone, removing or moving them to other location is illegal.

  3. That’s a contact fuse of a Väinämöinen class icbm, we have them buried like potatoes everywhere. Who needs a silo when you have suo, kuokka ja Jussi.

  4. During Finno-korean hyperwar a nuclear reactor blew up and fuel rod caps flew everywhere. To this day you can find them scattered.
