Is it a Hollywood end? Maybe a Hollywood budget. I liked the documentary and whatever, it’s not my league but Notts County ran them close with something like 1/10th the budget didn’t they? It only gets harder from here
At what point is everyone going to stop pretending that this is a team beating the odds and not merely a team bought for cheap and work crazy amounts of money our into it by the Hollywood owners (crazy compared to other national League teams anyway).
So much for playing both sides so you always come out on top
I can already see the trailer for the film about this (one of those that virtually show the whole film). The rich Americans visiting the Welsh town for the first time and meeting the cast of quirky locals that they don’t understand. Meeting resistance from some grumpy older fans, questioning whether they’ve done the right thing… before happy music starts as they move towards promotion.
Respect to Wrexham as a proper old-school League club for getting back into the League after 15 years… Massive congratulations.
But as a Stockport County fan the circus around them is so bloody boring and I’m already sick of the sycophants lining up to support them because of a Disney documentary…
And if I was a Wrexham fan I’d be worried about the debt the club owes to the owners.
