This smug one-upmanship with Britain is embarrassing. So Joe likes Ireland. Let’s not lose our reason basking in the warm glow of his Irish-American sentimentality. The anti-British sentiment I’ve read here the last few days is a real throwback.
How many more of these posts are we going to see?

That’s it, I’ll never hear bilateral again without thinking of that one.
The ERG are crying into their afternoon tea
The Sasanaigh are at it again.
Christ, you lot are jizzing your tits over this.
Jesus christ, how many posts are we gonna have about this? Embarrassing really, chip meet shoulder.
The special friends Tony Blair and Margaret Thatcher were with were Republican presidents. Says something about British values of government if their policies align with Republicans.
I thought ‘Biden’ was an English surname? Please no hate, real question from someone from the UK.
Let’s face it: he would’ve had to have kicked the head clean off the shoulders of a pope effigy to gain Snarlene’s approval. While singing the sash. On the twelfth.
I mean I understand he is the president and needs to atleast convey impartiality on matters of state and obviously think the British press are making a big deal out of nothing. But at the end of the day he is an individual who is allowed to have an opinion and view on topics. And he obviously holds his Irish heritage very close and it is a big part of his identity. It makes sense that he would be pro reunification in terms of Northern Ireland and be more “pro-Irish”, it shouldn’t make a difference to anyone what his personal views are. Quite frankly if the unionists and Tories are upset by his views then fuck them. They have views and say things I don’t agree with but don’t cry about it. I’ve lived in London for 2 years, some of my best mates are British, I am a very staunch republican and pro reunification, doesn’t make me anti British. British friends don’t agree with my views but doesn’t all of a sudden mean we don’t like each other. Bit pathetic really

I do think that many in Britain have reacted stupidly. I also think that Irish people have been incredibly quick to announce any British bad feeling as unjust and Little England-ish even if that is not the case. Brits are likley unsettled by this mainly because Biden has the head on him of one of those gombeen “Oirish” American politicians (even in fact he isn’t).
