Countries like Italy in particular should be one of the biggest pushers of climate action. Their economy (agriculture and tourism), location (as the Frontline to Europe to alot of migrants) and infrastructure (like Venice) make them one of the most vulnerable in the west to climate change.
In how many years time will we start getting wine grown in the south of the UK?
This is bad.
The next door country: we just had the most normal march and now april in years. Cannot remember when was the last time we had april weather in april. It was usually in May.
Guys, 2 thirds of the water did not disappear, idk what the hell this article is talking about really. I live nearby and while the situation is still very serious and there is less water than usual I can assure that it is not AS bad as the journalist is saying.
Sorry ppl but this is really too much: lake Garda has a calculated emptying time of 30 years ( meaning, without any (!) water entering it will take 30 years to extinguish.
Thi because the lake has tiny emissary (Mincio, output 60 m3/s) in comparison to the lake’s water volume, 54 km3.
It’s true that the water level has decreased but I already saw in the past(I am from the lake) what you see in the pic (even if not to this extent).
If we can control the weather let’s make it rain.
If we cannot control it just adapt.

Wow, that sucks for people who will go there on holiday this year.
Any tips for better locations?
I learned swimming there. Sad 🥺
