Tory peer Lord Maude calls for more robust culture in Whitehall

  1. Don’t mistake this for anything other than what it really is.

*Dominic Raab was found to have bullied staff*

This is the tories trying to put all the blame on ‘nasty, activist civil servants’ and portray Raab as a poor innocent victim just trying to do a tough job.

He’s a bully. That’s been decided. Don’t let them wriggle out of that. The fact that the system has been in place through multiple successive governments without this being raised, but suddenly it ‘needs reform’ now is Tory shit throwing to distract from their appalling behaviour.

  2. Imagine moving into a workspace and there’s this shitty/outdated photocopier/scanner/fax machine that ya have to ‘work with’ on a daily basis to get most stuff done.

But not allowed to replace it, or even update the software/firmware. Must be unbelievably infuriating.

  3. Basically the Tories want to make political appointments in the Civil Service to further push their dogma, rather than having a Civil Service that is apolitical.

This is a spectacularly bad idea, just look at the mess with America with political appointments especially judges.
