Well with the ongoing programs for Himars, Patriot, NSM systems, F16 ,Piranha 5 and modern radars, and with the newer programs that were announced for Watchkeeper X, TB2, IFVs (Ascod, Lynx or Redback) , Armored cars (probably JLTV), Abrams, VSHORAD systems, Scorpene submarines etc Romania will have one of the strongest army in this region. And with good reason.
It’s a bit of a weird purchase, TB2s don’t fare too well in presence of organized air defense, which is why you don’t hear about them being used in Ukraine for many months by now.

Interesting set of news out of Romania. They were interested in the Bayraktar for some months now and [Romanian Ministry of National Defense had given a notice](https://www.mapn.ro/cpresa/17587_demersuri-privind-achizitia-a-trei-sisteme-de-aeronave-fara-echipaj-uman-la-bord-(uas)) on the sale back in September. [They later went on to order Watchkeeper-X from Israel in a 380 million euro sale back in December](https://www.romania-insider.com/romania-israeli-drones-contract-december-2022) so many thought the Bayraktar deal was scrapped, apparently not the case.
