Making comparators like this whilst understandable, is only playing to the crowd. France doesn’t have to consider giving up Bordeaux because it’s not at war with a major military power and depending on economic and military support to prosecute a protracted war.

One thing is for sure. France has ben helping Ukraine to the tune of billions. But if the situation was reversed, Ukraine wouldn’t lift a finger to help. At least going by this hostile rhetoric.
Oh well I have the impression that the GDP of Bordeaux or its region Nouvelle-Aquitanie is larger that all of Ukraine’s gdp so I don’t really see why this third world country is comparing itself to the developed ones where the average net salary is ten times higher than in it.
I would rather compare Ukraine to another third world country which is Sudan: in 2011 aftet the civil war Sudan had to accept the independence of South Sudan and even today there are two separate countries, basically the same thing that is happening right now in Ukraine, so yeah if you can’t defend your own territories with your own means, then there is a high chance of losing them in the future.
Lmao Bordeaux isn’t occupied by a strong army. Ukrainians are living in a parallel reality unfortunately.

Also historically France was already forced to have up territories to invading forces. That’s what you do when you lose a war, because fighting to the death means exactly that : to the death. And sometimes giving up lands is better than people.
Now, doesn’t mean it’s the case for Ukraine. And also, fake news since even France isn’t arrogant enough to think we can negotiate a peace treaty for Ukraine without the Ukrainians.
