From what I read in another article, they’re not renewing the contract because they’re going to do very big renovations, after which they will rent it out as a bar again.
That’s not a ‘wurgcontract’, that’s just normal business. I don’t get the upheaval.

I’ve worked about 12 years in horeca (student jobs to fulltime employment) and this is indeed rampant. Experiences may vary ofcourse, but I’ve known plenty of bosses complaining about outrageous rental prices, being in extremely weak positions towards breweries/landlords.
