They are installing mine this afternoon for which I took an afternoon off work. If they don’t show up within the timeframe they gave they can fuck right off.
Ja maar het ging toch over slimme meters? Nu spreken ze ineens van de digitale meter. Is toch een verschil in.
Gewone digitale meter bestaat al langer dan de slimme meter.
I don’t refuse, I just reschedule.
So far the contractor installing these things let me reschedule every time.
I will eventually stop being lazy and have them install it after I make room for them to reach the meters (they are in my wall with not enough room to replace them easily).
But I am not in much of a hurry
Hate to be that guy, but these aren’t ‘fines’. It’s the cost for having a bailiff coming to tell you what you already know. There’s no fines since this is a strictly civil matter.
It may be nitpicking but I expect our national broadcaster to be a bit more diligent.
On the other hand, apparently they will be installing digital electric / gas / water meters in my neighbourhood soon, everybody who doesn’t have solar panels was notified. People with the old meter and solar panels we not notified though. It’s really weird.
In the end, as long as electricity and gas are a win for governments (through taxes, tariffs, zitpenningen, dividends and whatnot), do we really believe the government will make the correct decision?

WTF heeft Europa hier nu in hemelsnaam mee te maken !?!
Of het 1ne land nu met digitiale meters werk of het andere land met een meter op potloodkrijt maakt geen jota uit.
En dan vragen ze zich af waarom mensen anti-EU zijn …
De EU is voor zaken die in heel de EU moeten doorgevoerd worden om te kunnen werken. Nen meter is dit niet.
