Dominic Raab hits out at ‘activist civil servants’ after resignation

  1. “Activist” civil servants or just departmental staff who were thoroughly sick of an arrogant dickhead politician…?

He’s not taking this well, is he?

  2. >Dominic Raab hits out at ‘activist civil servants’ after resignation

Is this what **Taking Responsibility** looks like?

The Tories kept going on about it, but I guess they must mean something completely different!

  3. >”Well actually, almost all of the complaints against me were dismissed.”

Because a little bit of bullying is just fine in Raab’s head

  4. They are running out of people to call “activist”

    Civil Servants
    Judges
    Remainers
    Nurses
    Doctors
    Train Staff
    Climate protesters
    Transgender people
    National Trust
    BBC
    Guardian
    Carol Vorderman
    Gary Neville
    Gary Lineker
    Hybrid / remote workers
    Fire Service…

Maybe, I dunno, the problem is actually the Tories…?

  5. What a cretin, makes the report even more believable when he’s refusing to accept responsibility and trashing the department he worked with. Embarrassing over-privileged scumbag bully

  6. Good job speaking out against people who are unable to comment or defend themselves publicly.

He just sounds bitter his bill to replace the **Human Rights Act 1998** ran into obvious issues regarding both legality and unworkability which is what civil servants were tasked with making work. I’m not surprised they ran into problems and he simply didn’t like being told ‘…no’.

  7. Why does he think that a little bit of bullying as determined by an independent party is in any way acceptable.

These clowns just cannot take responsibility for their actions and instead determine it must be those lacking institutional power who are always at fault.

  8. This is a man who’s failed upwards his entire life but who’s remained absolutely tone deaf to feedback in every job he’s ever had.

It’s fucking amazing frankly and I fully expect him to be a Lord shortly

  9. When your only excuse is that everything’s the fault of woke lefty activist conspirators, the problem is with you, not everyone else.

  10. Toys, say goodbye to the pram and hello to the floor. What a pathetic response from him to this. Trumpian in approach. He won’t be missed with that attitude. A career politician who feels entitled to sit in government despite a record of being clearly out of his depth.

Parliament needs a thorough clean out, and it’s lost a rather grubby smudge with him gone from government. Hopefully his constituents see sense to get rid completely.

  11. Raab :
    >”**If is not intentional**, if it’s not personalised, if actually it is right, but there are some subjective hurt feelings by some… that’s not bullying”

    The report:

    >54. Thirdly, it was expressly stated that conduct may fall within the first limb of the definition, and so constitute bullying within the meaning of paragraph 1.2 of the Ministerial Code, **whether or not the perpetrator is aware or intends** that the conduct is offensive, intimidating, malicious or insulting.

    Maybe read the report Dom.

  12. After the independent inquiry he asked for, which he promised to abide by, found his actions to be bullying his response is ‘that wasn’t bullying’

  13. “Your honour, almost all of the charges against me were not proven, so please ignore the crimes I was proven guilty of”

I don’t have the patience with this bunch of clowns to read the whole self-pity article, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he, or some other MPs, will very quickly start using the word ‘woke’ to blame anyone who dared to raise a complaint in the first place…

  14. Anti-growth, tofu eaters, activist, migrant hoards, woke…. When can we get over these labelling and culture wars? And work on constructively making the country better?

  15. Usual right wing bollox…”it wasn’t me/it’s a witch hunt/ it’s departmental sabotage/but what about?”…it’s all so predictable. Resigned, not sacked, kept his pension, with an excuse to return later
This lot are falling apart quicker than the last John Major Government… Time for a General Election

  16. Raab is yet another Tory blaming everyone else despite his own ugly actions. What a world we live in where victims of bullying calling out the perpetrator are derided as “activists”.

  17. My friend has been working for his office since he was appointed

He’s told me multiple times about how people have breakdowns and leave meetings in tears

His boss was ready to walk if Raab didn’t resign

    Man is a proper cunt

  18. Another disgusting article headed by the righty=corrupt head of the BBC!

Yawn fest 2023! … It’s actually getting boring now! .. Does anyone else feel it?

“lefty lawyers” is the stupidest f*cking thing I have ever heard in my life, I literally can’t even! It doesn’t even make sense.

Now it’s “activist civil servants”. 🤦‍♂️

    Good riddance’s righty predator!

  19. What does a bully do? Attack people who can’t fight back.

Under the civil service code, civil servants can’t fight back.

He really is a massive cunt, isn’t he?

  20. You know, sometimes I get very impatient with journalists. I was listening to Raab being interviewed for the radio today, and I just didn’t feel he was being asked the correct questions:

    1) The enquiry was set up by Sunak: do you have a problem with the enquiry? If so, why didn’t you mention that before?
    2) The enquiry was run by Adam Tolley. Do you have any reason to think he was not impartial enough? You seemed to accept him right up until he came up with a conclusion you didn’t agree with?
    3) The enquiry upheld complaints of intimidation and abuse of power. Do you accept those findings? If you didn’t, why do you think that it came to this conclusion?
    4) Is it acceptable for a minister to use intimidation and “abuse of power” in the course of his duties?
    5) If it *is* acceptable, *why* did you resign?
    6) If it is *not* acceptable, *why* are you talking about your predicament being caused by “activist civil servants”?
