1. Must be faulty, throw it away or gift it to someone you dont like!

2. It’s broken. It shuts off automatically to protect you from the fire it would cause if it stayed on. Gotta get a new one

3. Overcurrent protection. So either the device you plug in is drawing too much current for the power strip, or the fuse in the power strip is broken.

4. Could also be that the socket is connected to the light switch. If it’s off so is the socket.

5. What was the question?

6. The wall socket probably has a bad earth or neutral and the extension recognises that when a circuit is made by plugging something in. Wall socket looks ancient.

9. I have one in my house where one of the plugs is connected to one light switch whilst the other two are connected to another light switch!
