Hiring by Galway firms ‘hindered by housing crisis’

  1. *waves arms at the lack of density being built in Galway*

The refusal of galway planners to allow density, and their happiness to just allow galway to keep growing as one giant housing estate is one of the main issues causing this.

  2. Firms were saying the same in Dublin area for years now, I am sure the government and local authorities will take notice any day now and have a solution for the problem.

  3. And not to go over old ground but its seriously hindered by a horrendous traffic situation also. From County Galway i wouldn’t travel in beyond Parkmore. And the far side of the city ie Spiddal may as well be on the moon.

  4. Our housing to jobs ratio is the worst in Europe. Either create more houses or stop creating so many jobs

  5. Grant blanket planning approval for denser development to areas that are already urban and expand the land value tax to all land
