Germany takes Russia’s German-language RT channel off air | A European satellite operator has stopped broadcasting the Russian state-run channel RT via satellite just days after its launch. German regulators said the channel did not have a license to operate.

  1. Given the treatment of RT on Youtube within Germany I doubt this story about the broadcast license.

    Seems that freedom of speech is only for when the speech is pro-Nato.

  4. Terrible, RT is interesting for a change in perspective and they do have interesting journalism. Very amusing to see people here cheering for the decision to censor them.

  5. Seems like Germany has broadcasting standards much like the UK.
    ~~Fox~~ ~~News~~ Faux Entertainment wasn’t allowed to broadcast in the UK because it didn’t meet the standards of news.
