I don’t think you did. You were supposed to scratch the symbols out from chart below using the symbols you uncovered from the lineup above. There seems to be symbols in every column and row that are not in the lineup.
No. You need to have a full row of the same symbol horizontally, vertically or diagonally. And the symbol must be one of the ones on the upper row

You could have also just returned it the next time you went to the store and found out if you dont know how it worked
You can always give those to the cashier and they check with the machine if you win or not. I regularly would check these even if they didn’t have a win. But looks like you didn’t win
