So could the bend of the Boyne if you built enough nuclear there
The irish government haven’t just been slow on the pick-up of offshore renewable energy, they’ve actively sabotaged it whether they know it or not. Large energy companies like Equinor and Fred Olsen have ended up pulling the pin on their plans for offshore windfarm development in ireland due to the slow pace of approval and the introduction of hindering legislation, all after being promised a fast track to construction.
This country should be a world leader in offshore renewables, exporting to mainland Europe, but here we are languishing in the usual bureaucratic mess, waiting for the brown envelopes to grow big enough to entice someone to pull their finger out
Now hold on a minute!!!
We’re going to need a committee to decide on which sub committees are going to be involved in the vote that will decide who we’re going to appoint to the main ‘Electricity for All’ committee.
Naturally we’re going to need 50 or so advisors too.
