Stopping in Norway for 4 hours, how does my trip look?

  1. Protip: You’re missing the lofoten, try to speed up a little, (fines are very low in norway anyway) and incorporate that in your 4hr trip as well.

  2. I see what you did there! For four hours i think you should also include going from Lindesnes to Nordkapp with kickbike

  3. Dude, 4 hours is rookie numbers. Just tell the cops you have weed and they’ll chase you around faster than 4 hours.

  4. Should be doable if you travel by F-35, but you might have to refuel at ørlandet, which is just a couple of minutes west of Trondheim, so you have to factor that into your schedule and budget.

  5. I assume this is in the winter? With the snow on the roads you won’t have to worry as much about traffic so should be just about doable! There’s a beautiful spot in Finnmark if you’d like a bit more of the authentic experience

  6. You need to start and end your trip at the reindeer rental in Drøbak, other than that it looks nice. If you get the red-nose option, you could even extend your trip to Lofoten and Svalbard.

But if you do stop at Andøya, please remember to inform the Russians of your itinerary, we don’t want a repeat of last time.

  7. While close to oslo, wander over to Flisa to check out the worlds largest toothpick! And in Slemmestad you have the cement museum. And while in North, grab a reindeer and check out the mosquito park!

  8. This thread was so funny 🙂 Thanks OP :). Also, could save a little money if you catch a tramp steamer on the lofoten leg

  9. You jest, but I’ve booked services for Tokyo tourists coming to Norway. We’re talking a bento box at five in the morning and into the bus for a four hour ride and then twenty minutes legstretch, if at all. Most of the time the bus just stops long enough for everyone to shoot the scenery. Picture a tour bus vomiting 32 passengers with cameras, only to eat them up immediately afterwards. Not my idea of a vacation, checking off a list at hyper optimal speed.

  10. I recommend you walk a little further north to experience the daytime darkness and the midnight sun. Remember good shoes and kvikk lunsj. Enjoy your hike!

  11. You can laugh, but my Bergen cousins were visiting the USA, in Seattle, and thought they’d drive down and visit me in Los Angeles for the day. Maps are hard.
