  1. Beautiful. I really recommend Bulgaria for travelling, so many gorgeous places and so wonderful people.

  2. Its such a peaceful, beautiful and friendly village.

On my visit there, we parked close to the village and was walking towards it on foot, when a huge, scary looking dog (like … 60kg at least) started charging towards us head on.

I remember stopping in my tracks and thinking to myself “f**k, I have no chance of outrunning this beast – half dog half bear” and when it came close it slowed down, came up to us and started snuggling … it was amazing.

I think it was this breed https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Šarplaninac

Turned out to be the cutest most friendly dog I’ve seen. From what the locals said it two of them just showed up at the village, and the locals decided to start feeding them, with the presumption that if they didn’t, the dogs would do something bad, and they became kind of “ambassadors” of the village itself – greeting all the tourists and just being friendly good boys 😀
