Changes in Prague in the last 10 years.

  1. Great. I tell you what changed too : in the center no Single czech pub/restaurace anywhere. One American focussed shit/Irish pub / english pub after another

Hope you guys can reverse this. Today Praha is what Mallorca became for Germans. I mean, Wien is touristy, but what had happened there is disgusting.

I knew Praha from mid 80s till early 2000s ….and visited again in 2022. While the modernization is breathtaking, necessary and good… it took the wrong direction in some parts

  2. I have to say these before and after pictures of some cities in Europe are great. Really goes to show that a lot has changed. For the better.

  3. Fucking hate these new apartment complexes (picture 3, 4, 5)

At least in Croatia, firms buy lots of lands and then create huge fucking neighborhoods with 0 parks, 0 trees, 0 schools, 0 shops, 0 connection to public transport.

As much as communism sucked in many aspects, commie blocks are amazing. I live in the commie block, 4 parks within 500 meters, lots of greens, school, kindergarten are close, shops are close etc. Would like if cities banned random building of apartments and create plans for the whole area and then companies can apply to build those projects.

  4. Sadly they are still engaging in very car-centric city planning compared to their neighbours in Eastern Germany. Leipzig and even Dresden have made much more progress on that front

  5. Do you still get mafia taxi drivers that try to charge you 100 euro to take you 5 minutes down the road? That was a thing 10 years ago.
