I think I’ve just thought of the perfect punishment for little old Enoch
Great.
I mean, transphobic bullying is already listed in every school’s antibullying policy at this point. The best way to prevent it would be to teach some basics about the whole concept.
The conflict arises when some people/groups believe that schools “seek to promote”, when in reality it’s just educating; “Some people believe this, some people think that”, “Here’s the definition of this, here’s a definition of that” and the most important thing is that you just respect everybody, even if you don’t agree with them.
I’ve taught classes where students have said they “don’t believe in being gay/trans” etc, and all I can do is ask them to reflect on that, listen to all sides etc and at least engage in respectful discussion and debate. I’d never tell a student they were wrong, I’d just ask them to be open to listening- And I would certainly never promote any kind of belief myself.
As for the parents however, my retirement plan is publishing a book of the stupidest emails I’ve ever received…..

Worlds gone mad. There is two genders Male(XY Chromosome) and Female(XX Chromosome). That’s Biology and Fact. Bring me back to the 2000’s and 1990’s where we didn’t have this nonsense.

The question is: will the Roman Catholic Church choose this policy as the place where it tries to draw the line? And do we have politicians strong enough to finish all religious interference in education?
Good. Trans kids exist and shouldn’t have to live in the closet due to educational ignorance.
Would have made my life a lot easier had someone told me it was okay to be trans when I was a lot younger.
Hey guys, would just like state that I disagree that this is a good thing.
