  1. Large parts of the world are going to become uninhabitable in our lifetime if this continues. Absolutely terrifying that even now so many governments are unwilling to take serious action against climate change

  2. Insane yeah..

Insane how to this picture claims that it is 40-50 degrees celsius around Ben Guerir – Morocco, but the wheather app says it is 32 degrees, and also feels as 32 degrees. Still high, but stop with these insanely over exaggerated pictures.

  3. Pretty crazy that we are intelligent enough to harness the atom and travel into space, but still dumb enough to exterminate ourselves via climate change.

  4. Shouldn’t the chromatic scale be reversed? Hotter things become whiter, not darker. Also, cities having one of the colors present in the legend might be misunderstood as having that particular temperature. Apart from that, it’s an interesting visualization.

  5. Historic records? Of land surface temperature?

Forgive me, but i highly doubt we have reliable records of it that date back a hundred years.

I understand wanting to spread awareness, but manipulative alarmism is not helping. If anything, it’s making people care less and less.

  6. Are these temperatures verified with on the ground measurements?
I don’t believe it is straightforward to remotely monitor temperature.

if it is, this is really bad news.
