Viral video of Italian students mocking Asian family on Milan train prompts university statements

  1. I like how the article says Europe is 20 years behind on its racism as if racism is generally called out in the US…

  2. I saw this when it was first posted on TikTok. So many comments were bashing Italy and Europe in general, as if these girls represented the entire continent. All in all, this behavior is not acceptable but generalizing an entire country based on the actions of a few bad actors is equally offensive.

  3. What’s weird, Milan is really full of Chinese people. So that’s not like they never seen Asians before.

  4. What Mahnoor Euceph concretely reports is:

    > I noticed these girls sitting across from us staring me down and laughing and speaking Italian.

    > they started saying “Ni hao!” in an obnoxious, racist, loud voice, along with other things in Italian I couldn’t understand

    > They continued getting more and more aggressive, laughing at and mocking us.

    > They were the most calm during the video but you can still hear them saying ni hao and get a vibe of their general attitude

It appears that the whole accusations of Mrs. Mahnoor Euceph are based on very subjective impressions about three laughing girls on a train.

To me, this seems to be some kind of an overexcited woke Karen.

  5. I’m skeptical on this video, from the footage itself the only thing that you could link to a racist behaviour is the word “Nihao” being shouted a few times but to anyone who can actually understand Italian to contextualise the use of the Chinese word in this specific circumstance it’s pretty straightforward.

The girl on the left addressing the tourist says “he cannot do that, should we tell him to stop?” and the other goes: “but how (do you approach him?) (By saying) Nihao?”. She then butchers the pronunciation and they all laugh. The girls even know that they are being recorded, why continue to “act as racists” then? It doesn’t make sense.

We don’t know what happened before, could be that the Italian girls were being racist beforehand but from this specific footage this is not evident to anyone who can actually understand the dialogue.

Anyway the girls got doxxed and bullied by the internet mob into dropping college. This is alarming.

If the videomaker thoght he/she was facing racism he/she should’ve contacted the authorities not slander the girls on Tik Tok which is a thing that could have you face defamation charges in Italy and rightly so I may add.

  6. I’ll just stop here:

    >America may have its race issues, but Europe is 20 years behind.

“may have its race issues” is kinda rich, coming from somewhere where being black is a leading cause of death, and no less than 60 years ago had *fucking racial segregation* and 150 years ago literal slavery, but yeah, whatevs.

And, being obnoxious and dumb and maybe even with racist overtones, is not a felony here, while this:

    > I hope you Italians can find these girls and shame them. It was truly disgusting behavior and I hope they learn a lesson from this.

pretty much fucking is, having caused a wave of “internet justice” and the massive doxxing of the three dumb women, together with the unauthorised filming and posting online a private citizen. I’m kinda hoping they sue her pretty ass.

  7. Americans go to Italy and doxx two girls and write how to get them fired. Fuck them, this cancel shit is ridiculous

  8. I’m so looking forward to how hard their universities will be buttfucked by local courts if they even consider the idea of expelling these girls

Thankfully our country still hasn’t bent the knee to the tiktok mob

  9. i’m asian european and YES i found this offensive. A white person beeing mistakenly bonjoured by a friendly and unknowing stranger is not the same as an asian person being aggresively nihaoed followed by an insulting laughter. And white french white german making fun of italians with hand gesture etc is obviously not racism, cause in this case italian is not a race, but making fun of chinese people when you’re not asian, especially in the way these girls did it, is racist. I don’t see how you can even do a mental gymnastic to defend these girls and say what they’re doing is not racist.

  10. Just Bopity Boopity your way out of there.

Pasta e fasul people make a big deal out of nothing.

If my grandmother had wheels, she’d be a bicycle.

Everyone can make fun out of Italian stereotypes, and we take it in our stride, but don’t dare an Italian step out of line, that’s unacceptable.

Family guy, sopranos, the godfather, any Italian movie, we are made fun of. But no, those Italian uni students, just racist assholes.

Meanwhile 3000+ illegal immigrants pile into Italy on the daily, for the last decade. You can forgive the Italians for being perhaps tired of their country being passively invaded. I’m not justifying anyone or anything, but this is definitely not what it’s hyped up to be.

Has anyone been to Inidia and experienced the Caste system. Now that’s abhorrent

  11. I stopped when he tarred the entity of Europe as being 20 years behind. Interesting that he has visited every square cm of Europe….

  12. I’m sick of this american cancel culture bullshit, we dont need to Do this guys, we’re better than that. Unfortunately my country Sweden is among the worst when it comes to this..

  13. We are not going to be lectured on racism by people from a country where cops execute black people in the streets, a country where people are getting shot turning in the wrong driveway.

  14. That final line with Europe being 20 years behind American kind of ruined the whole thing for me.

I see kids and minorities (usually both) getting shot while doing nothing wrong in America. But you know,Europe, here is where the real racist incidents happen.

  15. new title should be “americans go to italy and get offended”. Do they know that no one cares about there woke culture on this side of the atlantic?? should someone tell them??
