At least it has gone up for all countries, but some still need to do better.

I’m not sure what the percentages are of. For some reason the SSB link won’t open on my phone.
If it’s of the whole population then the people not working would include children, pensioners, people with disabilities, students etc.
Which would be different from a percentage of just the healthy working age population.
to be honest as a NOrwegian im a bit sadend about the swe-ger-den nubers, i’ld like them to be closer to general employment (belive that is closer to 95%, but do not quote me on that)
Came to Norway in the 90s for the first time. Then it was immigrants speaking in their native language about how they cannot find jobs.
7 years ago moved back to Norway then it was diverse immigrant groups speaking with one another in Norwegian how they can’t find jobs.
Demographics are in favor of anyone living here now and the opportunities are only increasing for immigrants. As long as Norway does not pull a Sweden and let too many people in then all boats will rise.
So many of the firsts have been done by immigrants and now there are few sectors of the labor market that don’t have immigrants working in it. Overall, think we are doing pretty good at adapting to change.
These statistics are misleading.
Sysselsetting (employment) in Norways is anyone who works more than 1 hour a week. Even if on a type of work related program so you can stay on benefits.
This makes partyswedes, skiing bums and refugees from syria seem much more participatory in the labor force than they really are.
If you count only positions of 51% workweek and up through the year. The numbers will change to reflect more accurate work participation.
Wonder if they count the Romanian beggars as employed. I mean they have a uniform and a boss!
Someone remove the terrorist flag for Afghanistan please.
Anyone from the lower partition countries care to explain the reasons?
by vietnam and phillipines being so low, i can tell this is very inaccurate
I see 3 groups here: high employment rates, low but increasing significantly in just a few years (refugees starting to find work), and… Pakistan & Turkey
57 year old Ole from Sweden who moved here aged 8, is in the same set of data as the migrant who just just arrived from Syria.
It’s very telling that people who come from war stricken countries struggle more. War isn’t just physical, it’s mental and this is what it does to you
Seems like arabic/black people doesn’t like to work huh? They do like their social benefits tho I’ll tell you. It’s not hard to find a job in Norway, I’m also an immigrant and do work here. But who cares to go to work if you get money for free?
