To be honest I’m surprised Bucks fire service is the only one in the country which undertakes Enhanced DBS’.
Fire service staff are often alone with children and vulnerable people (they do a lot more than just putting out fires), so as ‘regulated activity’ I’d have expected them to all be Enhanced DBS’d.
They should be vetted as much as police and ambulance staff are, if they’re not already. Obviously if they are then it’s not working.
