Landskrona Citadel in Scania, Sweden. Built in the 16th century by the Danish king Christian III. It was here that the astronomer Tycho Brahe’s pet moose tragically died from falling down the stairs after having gotten drunk during a feast at the fortress.

They even told the moose not to go down stairs when drunk, but it couldn’t understand them because they were speaking Danish
Elk.
I will die on this hill.
And rest in peace.
Landskrona is known as the only city in Sweden to have trolley buses.
This is perhaps what Landskrona is known for in Denmark?
I was told Tyco died bc his blatter burst while watching the night sky. Think I was taught this in school, but not sure…the teacher might also have said that it wasn’t a true story, idk…it was like 40+ years ago
I didn’t know Tycho Brahe had a pet moose.
“Hilda Nilsson was convicted in 1917 for the murder of seven children and the manslaughter of one.
The trial, which began on June 2, 1917, was adjourned for mental examination, and ended on June 14, 1917, with her being sentenced to death. However, she avoided further legal proceedings by taking her own life while in judicial custody at

by hanging herself with a noose of a linen cloth tied to the cell window. Hilda Nilsson is regarded as Sweden’s worst female serial killer.[2]”

Hilda Nilsson was sentenced to death on 13 June 1917 by Helsingborg’s town hall court, for having killed 8 children. Before the sentence was carried out, she took her own life by hanging. On the same day, however, in accordance with new practice, the court had chosen to convert the death penalty into life imprisonment, something that Nilsson was not aware of at the time. She was the last death-sentenced Swede who was not pardoned.[3]”
