Landskrona Citadel in Scania, Sweden. Built in the 16th century by the Danish king Christian III. It was here that the astronomer Tycho Brahe’s pet moose tragically died from falling down the stairs after having gotten drunk during a feast at the fortress.

  1. I was told Tyco died bc his blatter burst while watching the night sky. Think I was taught this in school, but not sure…the teacher might also have said that it wasn’t a true story, idk…it was like 40+ years ago

Hilda Nilsson was sentenced to death on 13 June 1917 by Helsingborg’s town hall court, for having killed 8 children. Before the sentence was carried out, she took her own life by hanging. On the same day, however, in accordance with new practice, the court had chosen to convert the death penalty into life imprisonment, something that Nilsson was not aware of at the time. She was the last death-sentenced Swede who was not pardoned.[3]”
