I mean he was a member of “Cyprus is Turkish party” had frequent contacts with the government supported group that caused the Istanbul pogrom in 1955. All he did was sit on is ass and try to fail RoC.
The plan of partition came first, and the inter-communal conflicts and Turkish invasion as a result of it.
Partition wasn’t a response to something GCs did against TCs. It was the response of the British Colonialists and Turkey to our struggle for freedom – a threat that if we didn’t accept their terms they would annihilate us from half of our island.
The TCs were willing pawns of Turkey. According to Sener Levent, when in 1955 Kucuk was asked by Reuters what is his opinion on the events, his replay was “We have no political opinion. We do whatever Turkey says. If Turkey sends us a huge stick and tells us put it up our butt, we’ll put that stick up our butt without a second thought”
Today this would give GCs access to French and British military equipment, I don’t think those ξένες δυνάμεις would like it
Well, at least we’ve got Akamas and Polis now…
Some say the reason the RoC collapsed was the Constitution ignoring that those in charge not only wanted the RoC to fail but they also did their best to make sure of it. You have Kucuk and Denktash trying their best for taksim-partition and Makarios etc doing their best for enosis
