It’s getting harder and harder to tell what is satire and what isn’t these days.
This is the main problem: in any Constitutional country this would be considered unlawful. Or it would at least require 2-3rds majority. But nothing in Common Law Britain requires 2-3rds majority, meaning the government party can just do whatever it wants without ever having to even consider the opposition’s position. They just put a 3rd line Whip on it and it gets passed.
And they call themselves the oldest democracy out there? It’s tyranny of the majority, with Sunak on top of his ministry of oligarchs.
I genuinely got Poes Law’d by this, because I absolutely believe it’s something that record bubo Braverman would do, and in fact now she probably will.
