Rishi Sunak’s wife’s stake in childcare firm not mentioned in six ministerial registers

  1. Perhaps ministers’ finances should be investigated independently, *before* their appointment, rather than relying on them to declare their own interests?

  2. “This government will have integrity, professionalism and accountability at every level. Trust is earned. And I will earn yours.”

    – Rishi Sunak, 2022

  3. >No 10 rejects call to publish Rishi Sunak’s financial interests now

What he has to hide? This also means he could be subjected to blackmail and as such he is compromised as a PM. He should resign.

    What a clown.

  4. He claims it’s mentioned in the one that hasn’t been published for over a year. They will keep telling you nothing to see, and I expect the starmer expenses claims from 2008 will come back over and over in mail and express, but yeah this is corruption and should be a resigning matter

  5. Quote from Twitter:

“If Rishi Sunak’s wife is suddenly prepared to hand over several millions to keep her husbands £150k job I think you really need to think about why that might be.”

  6. Why haven’t people woken up to the fact that THIS IS CORRUPTION!!!! Why are people not protesting for Rishi to step down? It’s fucking rediculous. If I ran as a council governor, and my wife owned her own child care company, and there was funding to be split between all childcare companies in the region but I redirected 90% of those funds to her company.. would I stil be the council leader?

  7. Wait yet another Tory leader that is fleecing the country of its money for themselves…?

    Shocker.

We could have forced the Tories out of power years ago yet we sit back and keep letting them do crap like this

  8. Made to apologise… the new penalty for fraud at the highest level. Meanwhile, on UC, get your meter changed for free, have your payments reduced for turning up late and starve 3 days of the week…

  9. Sunak is an absolutely CORRUPT TORY BASTARD.

And these are his best bits……

He even has the fucking GALL, to suggest INFOSYS operating in Moscow on behalf of Putin, is – and I quote – ‘nothing to do with him’…..WTF is that ALL about?

  10. Easy money. I wish it would result in some huge denouncing, gigantic fines, lose PM status, but, you know what i think will happen? Absolutely fuck all. Shes rich as fuck, snd he’s running the country into the fucking shitter. And theres fuck all you or I can do about it.

  11. I mean it does feel iffy, trending towards questionable and skirting the line of corrupt.

And that said, while admittedly I’m not an elected official, I’ll freely amit to having no idea what investments and stocks my spouse has (in detail anyway).

I don’t live in the UK, is this a case where the elected partner has the obligation to disclose both their investments? Or is there some obligation on both parties?

I guess theres also probably a difference between me having a few Toyota shares that I sporadically forget about, and a major interest in a business that might get government work/subsidy.

  12. If only Keir Starmer was making noise about this, instead of talking about penises and making stupid, false claims that Sunak doesn’t want to convict peadophiles.

  13. People like this literally have hundreds of ‘interests’ invested in and gathering money from. That’s why they have staff or at least a ‘good’ accountancy firm to keep track of everything and make sure that any tax due is skilfully dodged.

Not defending her, but she probably isn’t aware of half of what she is invested in, just how much overall return they get per year just so they can brag to a Daddy how well their little girl has done with his millions.

They literally live in a different World, where the day to day problems of struggling to keep a roof over kids heads or feed them just doesn’t register anymore than a glimpsed cockroach as they travel in their chauffeured limo.

  14. Meanwhile finance minister of SNP has Police arresting him at 8am yesterday. Be good to see similar action for Rishi and chums.

  15. Classic UK this.

For a moment everyone was like “fair play at least they’re acknowledging this desperate issue and doing ‘something/anything'”. Fast forward two weeks – nope. It’s actually more just corruption, wealth transfer and class war
