the rights aren’t free to the consumer, they would be factored into ticket prices as a form of insurance. Being able to claim money for expensive snacks and meals after just 90 minutes seems OTT to me, it’s probably just cheaper for travellers to ‘self-insure’ by taking snacks or simply buying food as and when required.
Delays are going to be inevitable too, so we will see thousands missing out on compensation. Still, this is what people voted to be enabled to happen. Maybe not everyone but enough people for it to affect everyone.

IT’s not Eu law anymore. It’s UK law regardless of the name. This is the tories trying to take away UK rights.
That’s ok because as us traitors and enemies of the people know, they knew what they were voting for.
