I’m curious, can you now communicate (understanding while responding) what the natives are saying? can you watch a Polish TV show without subtitles? I’m in my first week and I need motivation.

If not you should stop duolinguo and try other methods.
Duolinguo is good to get some basics in the language but then you need to ditch it instead of just doing busy work on it.
