140,111 voters registered in north for Turkish presidential elections

  1. This gives us a number or how many Turks may be in the north. As no official demographics is ever given. Considering underage, uninterested and people born in north, etc… The total number could be around 300k+. What does this mean, Turkish Cypriots are outnumbered 1 to 2 at best.

  2. in the 2017 elections. i used my vote as well as a student. so i think most of the voters “can” be the students because this is the literally most important election in the history of Turkey.

  3. 2 things

    1: Erdoğan’s administration is known for inflating voter counts in foreign countries, a country like North Cyprus will have very little oversight except for AKP election observers so I’d assume a lot of this attributable to voter fraud on part of the AKP.

    2: This could also just be the student population in Cyprus. Cyprus has a lot of Turkish students.
