I’m taking bets on the breed now if anybody wants to place one.
All the idiotic apologists will try to not blame the dogs but there is no accountability for owners. If a dog is large/ strong enough to kill a child over the age of two it should be a legal requirement they are muzzled in public. That would include most dogs breeds unfortunately.
The alternative would be to get really aggressive banning all breeds that can be trained for any sort of attack/guard purpose from public ownership.
Treat people breeding these monster dogs like class a drug dealers.
And you can bring the downvotes. Idgaf about Reddit karma. People who defend these aggressive breeds are sick.
I was in Birmingham the other month walking towards a shopping centre when a guy with two big Pitbull/bully type dogs was walking towards the main doors. Both dogs were pulling hard in both directions and the guy could barely control them. Looked like something from a Vicky pollard sketch.
It was at that very moment when this elderly guy and his little dog came the other way towards us through the doors causing both big dogs to go absolutely mental and try and attack the little dog. I think the small dog got away with a tiny nip, but honestly they could have ripped the poor thing to shreds given half a chance.
To make matters worse the owner then started mouthing off and swearing at this old guy as if it was somehow his fault? The poor dog was absolutely terrified and was trying to run away.
I’m impressed by the restraint the elderly guy had, he was fucking livid but just wanted to get as far away from Mr chav and his delightfully friendly dogs.
I really try not to generalise people, dog owners and dogs. But it’s so hard when many owners are utterly irresponsible, and always with the same breeds.
It seems ridiculous to me that the dogs weren’t destroyed at the scene. Why did they risk further injuries by taking them to a secure kennel? Those animals will never be safe to rejoin society.

To be honest, if it was human being running around with a knife, stabbing six people at random (outside a primary school) and refusing to listen to police commands, they’d probably get worse treatment than these dogs…
Is there some increase in dog fighting at the moment that’s causing people to wonder around more with dangerous breeds or has owning aggressive dogs become more popular with criminals in general?
So they’ve arrested a bloke but no explanation of why these two dogs were loose? Please don’t tell me this human sized lump of fecal matter was walking them off lead or something?

At some point the child of an MP will be mauled by a dog and then we’ll have new legislation within the month.
