Hello from your neihbours,
We are planning to pay you a visit this summer and we were looking at hiking options for our group. We ised mapy.cz and loaded tourist routes which represents perdectly well the Hungarian routes.
We would like to hike to some higher mountain tops (e. g. Śkrbino, however those paths are marked in grey. Would they be usable or would we need extra equipment or climbing skills?
Also, do you have any suggestion what to visit near Bohinjsko?

You can check some here: https://mapzs.pzs.si/home/trails
The best source for hiking in slovenia is Hribi.net
They have most hikes listed and described.
The red one is a well marked easily hikable path between the peak Vogel and the mountain hut Dom na Komni. https://www.hribi.net/izlet/ski_hotel_vogel_dom_na_komni/1/102/165
*All* the routes up to Vrh nad Škrbino are listed as “zahtevna” or “zelo zahtevna” meaning that you should be doing them with a helmet and a via ferrata harness. The ridge-line from Vrh Planje up to Meja is listed as “lahko brezpotje” meaning it’s an easy scramble. I suggest you stick to marked paths as a first time visitor.

There is great hiking in all directions form Bohinj. What do you want to see, how much time do you have and how fit are you?
