I thought the whole marketing around smart meters was to make you more aware of your usage….not cut you off remotely and transfer you to a prepaid meter…you absolute fucking snidy snake cunts

The over 85 thing was a token gesture at best, too. I don’t need to say why.
Stop charging pre pay users a premium on their first few units of the day. My mum spent 250 on gas last month after the price increase and the subsidy stopped. This is why I’d kept nagging her to not keep the thermostat at 18 degrees and only turn in up for a bit when she was cold. She’ll be getting an electric sitting blanket from me next winter. I’ll not see her cold. I’ll go without heat to have her radiators on and keep her warm. She’s 81 this year.
