Back in the day I made plenty of mix tapes but I never bought pre-recorded ones. Way too nasty and lo-fi.
If you have a nakamichi tape deck I can guarantee that any music you listen to on a cassette tape will sound amazing through a decent high-fi and speakers. These tape deals have an incredible sound, amf music reproduction if you’re into your Hi-Fi

If people arent even playing them then it’s no more than a fad, expect to see thousands dumped in landfill a couple of years from now
this takes me back to 1980. i was working nights in a supermarket, in the run up to Xmas, that had a record dept. I used to bring in blank tapes and copy 2/3 albums a night. i made dozens of copies
I don’t know why anyone would buy a cassette. They are inferior in every way compared to other mediums. The rewinding / fast forwarding alone is reason to not bother.
Bizarrely, Rammstein are selling their new anniversary version of Sehnsucht as a tape. Saw this yesterday and thought to myself… Wtaf.
