Huh now it magically unlocked for me. Are you guys able to access it as well?
Was there ever a paywall on politis? Not sure if any of my blockers are taking care of them but I’m not seeing any paywalls on cypriot online newspapers. My go to paywall bypassing sites are 12ft.io and archive.is .
I checked how it’s done, nope. They do not give you content until you present a valid cookie. That means, you can’t just disable a piece of code and make it works. (Some sites are rendering paywall notice on top of the text, those can be disabled, this one can’t).
Tl;dr; not possible without valid cookie. Valid cookie is set by subscription system, or it coming from existing subscriber (basically, reuse of their password).
Generally speaking I try archiving the article using archive.today or archive.ph, and it sometimes does the trick
If it does not, then there is a browser extension called unpaywalled I believe
Try ublock origin browser extension. You will have to configure it manually though. I used it before for foreign news pages.
