I understand the desire for secrecy, but need to point out that this can’t be kept secret in Germany. If the German police knows it, the Russians know it.
How to clumsily torpedo an unwanted state visit: eins, zwei, Polizei
It’s not like you could keep it secret (look at his visit to the US) what’s russia gonna do? Bomb him while he is in a NATO country? Nope. His exact departure and route to Germany wasn’t leaked (and neither would the German police be able to do so) so I can’t see why they would be angry unless it is some clickbait lol
If the German police got hint of the visit, be sure the FSB already knew about it.
Man, Germany had just been such a massive disappointment as a geopolitical entity of late.
It’s not Kiev, it’s Kyiv. wth is this reporting…
germany and disappointment goes hand and hand
>This is what the website “t-online.de” claims to have learned from sources close to the Ukrainian government.
So it was a Ukrainian source that leaked it, news reported it (as a free press does), and German police confirmed it (because why deny it).
Germans behaviour towards Ukraine ranges from clumsy to pro-russian from the first day. No surprise
According to the first paragraph of the article the leak comes from the Ukrainian governement and not from the police.
“t-online.de claims to have learned from sources close to the Ukrainian government.”
If the German police is anything like the Austrian, then they’re leaning very right and the very right in Austria is supporting RuZZia.
I knew it was too good to be true and Zelensky would look for a way out of visiting Germany.
>The leak of information about the preparation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s visit to Germany may call the trip into question.
>As “Європейська правда” [note: European pravda] writes, the German publication t-online learned about this from “sources close to the government of Ukraine.”
I do think it is funny though that Ukrainian media says they learned of this from a German media outlet that got inside information close to the Ukrainian govrenment. Shouldn’t the Ukrainian media be the one with inside sources for Ukrainian government people, not German tabloids?
why would they be irritated Germany is a NATO country
