And their EmberClimate twitter account, but I am not sure if this sub allows twitter links.
having a clean grid won’t help when you’re living near a neighbour who burns coal 24/7. You still get the same respiratory diseases as they do, you just have to pay up more for the electricity.
I’m surprised Spain is higher than Germany on Solar + Wind, I’ve seen so many articles about Germany investing in Solar and Winds and so little about Spain that I thought Germany was the n°1 in Europe
Nice chart, very understandable and yet conveying a lot of information
what is “other fossil”? Oil?
That’s a nice chart there yes. Makes Germany look very green.
This is actually utter bullshit and only proves how wrong the EU got the classification. Yes, there’s a lot of green on Germany but you don’t have to look for long to realize how they got it so green. Everyone knows how the reality is, especially after shutting down their last nuclear reactors.
Nuclear is not clean. Uran takes a lot of CO2 with mining, transporting and working with the material. And it’s not clean because of the nuclear waste which we have to hide for millions of years.
wait, if Latvia and Lithuania isnt here, dose it mean we got kicked out of EU?
What’s the year
nuclear technically isn’t renewable.
i know. I’m sorry.
France will love our coal energy when their nuclear plants have to be shut down in summer again
Aaand this is why I want to move out of Poland! Almost everyone I know believed nuclear energy means another chernobyl! Fucking idiots.
Portugal does not have any nuclear AFAIK. Unless it’s considering Spanish imports, but then it’s a little bit weird to put generation on the y axis but consumption on the X axis.
