The only weird thing about this is that Belgium thinks this needs to be decided on a case by case basis.
All other countries simply have a definition of strike that means you don’t work and by not working you show how indispensable you are.

1 thing is for certain, im not shopping anymore at delhaize/ah for a good few years after how disrepectfull they have handled this entire situation.
Enough shops with better prices and better shopping experiences these days anyway.
Reminder that the Renault law is only triggered if you fire 10 or more people in 60 days.
So all these guarantees of contracts carrying over to new positions is a distraction for people who don’t know that.
Just fire 9 people. Then 60 days later another 9. Repeat a few times and VOILA, no more old contracts.
Van een dikbetaalde magistraat met een job voor het leven (en fantastisch pensioen) had ik toch wat meer inlevingsvermogen verwacht in het lot van de gemiddelde winkelmedewerker… .
Straks beslist het moederbedrijf dat ze alle winkels sluiten, omdat ze het beu zijn. Delhaize is maar een heel klein deeltje van hun totaal.
Ik hev toch liever een job dan dat de winkel fait gaan, dag zien de meeste mensen niet in. Ze worden veel betaald ja en niet iedereen kan dat betalen dat is in de meeste bedrijven zo.
Leave it to /r/belgium to rabidly defend blocking ordinary people from getting groceries.
