  2. Sucks. In Germany I got an internship with 9000PLN salary. If only the wages would be higher, then living in Poland would be a real option. Maybe in 15 years 🙂

  3. I go on the sub and see those sudden posts, who the hell claims 20k isn’t enough?

If I wasn’t able to get by on 20k I would be already dead. I even know people who live on 2k from month to month.

  4. Polish average salary doesn’t include like half of the Poland’s working force.

  5. Eh…yeah im in 7k but my job requirements is paying for fucking petrol…so it’s more like 5,5k ….GEH

  6. But the lowest income in Poland is 2784 Netto PLN per month not 1910 PLN

  7. did you know that to calculate this only companies hiring 9+ employees are taken into account? the real avgs must be actually a lot lower

  8. 7,5K *before taxes.*

It drops to around 5-5,5K, which IS plenty even in Warsaw, but good luck finding job that pays that much and isn’t ungodly grind and/or IT/Finances/scamming people. This is why *median* would be better indicator than *average*.

For context that’s more than my parents earned *combined* (mom’s recently retired, dad have about a year to retirement), tho it was before covid and war.

  9. Average/median… What a load of crap.
Realistic talk would be: In Warsaw the most of people gets 4-5k monthly netto. In towns and small cities I’d risk to say 3-4k netto.

Highly qualified workers, specially if foreigners could see 6-9k netto.

Jus special careers (like IT specialities) would see 13-18k netto. What’s nuts.

  10. And an average Pole earning this salary has one testicle and one breast.

  11. Most ppl I know in Poland get about 3k monthly, I don’t get how we average like that, probably the only reason is cause doctors get 10k a month pretty much right off the bat, maybe a year into residency and my mother who worked for 20 years in a factory gets 3800 pln, not to mention teachers.

  12. Average salary is pretty pointless number. It would be better to get monthly revenue median to measure people wealthiness.

  13. Good thing teacher’s income is below the average. It’s not like we need teachers and it’s not like it’s important whatsoever.

  14. Majority of the society is not even close to earning at the average level…
Average is really bad metric here. I would love to see the median or the most frequent value.

I wonder who ever says that it’s hard to get by, making 20k per month 😂

  15. When I was at uni a few years ago my parents would give me a 300pln monthly allowance (excluding bills and transportation costs) – so yeah, even with the average 7.5k if you don’t have any kids or pets you’d probably be able to live like a king 🤣

  16. 7.5 k is actually high salary in Poland.
20 k you must be a doctor or lawyer, then maybe.
    Average is 4-6 k.
    Just my two cents.

  17. I get 3000 and i work on production line. 8 hours for 20 days each month

  18. Problem is average u take 99 low and 1 hiigh salary person = boom average salary you mediana or dominanta next time.

Typical salary is around 2200 pln ofcourse with inflation it changed now. And this data we get every 2 or 4 years from GUS.

  19. Everyone here seems to be arguing that “it seems like a lot”.

Have y’all seen the conversation rate to USD?! It’s 1/4. Yep. So $100usd is equivalent to $400.

  20. who is doing these statistics? Most of the people get around 3-4k per month.

  21. Poland is wonderful for living on less and still getting fresh local food. Solid healthcare. A safe place to raise a family. Buying a home is still tough on that and the schools for the most part aren’t top notch.

  22. Yeah that 7k is without taxes if you include taxes you get around 4k

  23. When one earns 100k monhly and rest minimum 2500zł it means that average income is 10k month, thanks

  24. And still so many people are driving around with their BMW, how?

  25. And while we’re all here, I live four months of the year in Sweden, on a Polish salary. I’m doing it the wrong way round.

  26. How can there be “low average” “average average” and “high average”? What does this even mean?
