Belg betaalt tot drie keer zoveel voor telefonie en internet als in buurlanden: “We behoren tot minst goedkope landen”

  1. Yeah, but just think about how much… uh.. “investing in the network of the future” they still have to do? Better increase prices. There’s still some headroom between us and the top of the list.

  3. and this in a country where they have to invest a lot less due to the fact we all live so close together…

  4. Misschien moeten we allemaal eens zetten wat we betalen, dan kunnen we vergelijken?

    * 10GB data, onbeperkt bellen/SMS
    * Orange TV Abonnement TV met decoder 70 kanalen 15€
    * Internet 100Mbps download €34
    * Totaal €81 per maand

  5. 15 per month for my personal mobile phone usage and 50 euros per month for
    fast and limitless internet, shared with roommate. We don’t have television. In total 40 euros per month.

  6. €27.50 for Proximus Start, effectively getting 50Mbps, but also 100GB cap. Switching to EDPnet: 20Mbps, unlimited at €25, if too slow, upgrade to 100Mbps at €35. Phone: Mobile Vikings at €15 / 2 months. No television, maybe Telenet Flow in the future (€10 – €20 ??).

    Activation cost of €50 is bullshit however, especially since I already have an active line.

  7. What is even worse is that we pay alot and they find putting the infrastructure under the ground too expensive. Such a ripoff. But don’t you dare painting your front door in a non conform colour, that’s illegal change of the protected view.

  8. So why do I earn less (as a software developer) and pay more taxes as well compared to our neighbours?

  9. When I moved here in 2013, I was like omg those prices are mad, cable internet has data limits, I didn’t saw that thing since 2003. Oh and it still has. It’s “unlimited” up to some GB limit, you can find it in small letters somewhere in the contract.

    I had a real unlimited 100mbps in 2010 for around €15 in my country, and they added some online streaming TV channels to it.
