I know they were forced and all, but Ukraine was a part of Soviet Union back then, and as such a part of the attacking force. Feels a bit ironic they idolize the Finnish defence when they were the ones attacking and dying for Russia.
Glad they escaped from the Russian terror regime, and even gladder they’ve managed to defend themselves against the current unjustified war of terror.
Just to make my point clear – I don’t blame the past or current Ukrainians for falling under the Soviet rule or being forcibly conscripted. In many ways, being under Soviet rule was a worse fate than merely being attacked by them.
