Let me share this story about parking space in front a bakery and the amazingly retarded comments on Facebook
In this village there is bakery with parking space in front. Unfortunately when there are cars there the view is completely blocked and you have to engage to the road completely blind.
Residents complained because there have been way too many close calls. It’s actually very dangerous, and the road guys won’t put a mirror because it does fit to the procedure 🤷.
It’s election time so bourgmestre put big flower pots to prevent parking here. Citizens happy.
Note that the photo is clearly cut and hides the fact that there are like 10 parking spaces in the adjacent road 5meters away, and more spaces a little further in front of the restaurant.
Apparently people are freaking out and comments are just pure gold.
Enjoy the read.

How are pople so entitled that they can’t possibly conceive needing to park just 5m further down the road and, shock horror, walk for an additional 3 seconds
We had similar in Contern… it’s used as a village to village rat run/commuter route and obviously people speed through the centre of town – mainly to get to the traffic jam at the sandweiler roundabout a bit quicker.
To try to mitigate the speed and get people to pay attention (narrow the road slightly) they added parking along the road and put big plant pots out (ours were bigger and covered in reflective markings) to protect the parking spaces. It did reduce speeds and seems to have reduced the close calls on the crossings.
However, people kept driving into the plant pots – kinda proving the point that people were distracted and going too fast through town. There was uproar. Fortunately the permanent solution has been to replace the plant pots with signs and kerbs/islands rather than just get rid of them.
Main point I get out of checking their fb page: There’s a food truck festival in Weiler-la-Tour on 13/05 !
From the comments of the bakery: “Think of the disabled people! My aunt is almost blind, how can she manage ow that she has to park further away?”
… mate, I hope she isn’t driving if that’s the case??
I know where that is. There are plenty of spaces available.
