Going to take my chance to say this before it gets buried in other comments;
Labour will not fix this country if they win this next GE. Not in five years. Probably not in ten. Kier Starmer will probably not be a particularly brilliant PM either.
But he is not actively trying to kill you.
I’m obviously very left-leaning. But I did okay out of the Cameron years. He was a crook, he was out of touch, he lied and lined his pockets for a decade. But what’s left of the Tories, the shameless, dangerous thieves we have now, are going to let you starve as they strip away your rights and let the companies use inflation as an excuse to make criminal amounts of profit.
Please keep this momentum going, please keep showing the Tories that we see what they’ve been doing since Brexit. Starmer won’t fix much, but there’s a 1% chance that he’ll try and we have to take that.

Standard British voter pattern in modern times I think. For a large number of people, life never really changes much, with a bit of resentment for that. They vote Tory, it doesn’t do anything for them, so they vote Labour, which doesn’t do anything for them, so they go back to voting Tory, which doesn’t do anything for them. Now they’re bubbling and when a couple of wildcards come along, they get a lot of resentment vote from some(UKIP then Brexit), but now they’re done and dusted we are back to the Tory/Labour flip flop with big Libdem/Green protest votes.
I’m just really disappointed that my area still voted 60% conservative. Makes me sick to be honest, one of those strange things I didn’t check when I moved here a year ago.

A bit of a side question here, how is it possible that only 5 out of 44 Warwick district council are Labour, yet the MP for Warwick and Leamington is Labour?
They deserve everything they are getting.
The local conservative Councillors put a leaflet through denouncing the fact Labour would be building more homes in the area, typical tory NIMBY’ism, even better was their lauding of a government policy to help first time buyers, serious cognitive dissonance, there aren’t enough affordable homes in our area for first time buyers to use that system because they keep opposing all the development plans.
They also mentioned a budget deficit since the conservatives were last in power (it’s a Labour council now), having checked the accounts there is a deficit in a specific area, this is a due to projected liabilities, primarily long term pension commitments so year on year not running at a loss at all, in fact they were marginally in the black in the last accounts. It wouldn’t surprise me if the pension liabilities are down to conservative mismanagement when they were in charge.
I’m a lefty bleeding heart liberal and Keir is just weak.
I’m supposed to dislike tories, they’re the opposition.
It’s so bleak when it’s the guys whose side you’re meant to be on that you dislike.

Sometime soon there’s going to be a groundbreaking transformation due to a new level of automation. When manufacturing, driving, delivering, building, and even sales can all be nearly 100% automated.
But those aren’t the automation to be afraid of. The one thing the rich and powerful are researching just as hard as driverless cars and automated fast food and groceries is….. security. They’ll hold off fully automating until they have a way to physically control redundant population.
