My wife, and I (Sarah and Aaron) traveled to Istanbul in April 2009. While there, we stayed at the Tulip Guest House in the old part of the city. Another couple were there who we spent a day with riding a ferry up to the mouth of the Black Sea and walking to the top of the hill above a small village there. They were called Cristina (I am unsure of the spelling) and her boyfriend/spouse, who she called “Nunu”. We really enjoyed their company. They are on the right in this picture.
Though it is not important, it would be lovely to connect with them, if only to say hello. I am sure the chance of finding them is very small, but I thought it would be worth a try. Besides them saying that they were from Portugal and that he was perhaps a photographer, I’m afraid I don’t remember anything else about them.

I appreciate people’s sincere thoughts. I look back on this trip fondly, as it was the last one my wife and I took before we had children. And the day we went on this ferry with Cristina and Nuno (perhaps I misheard all those years ago) was very pleasant, as conversation was friendly, and it was simply a lovely spring day. I think about looking them up around this time each year, as this is when pictures from the trip show up in my Facebook memories. Believe it or not, my intentions are simply to say hello, to share memories, and to wish them well.
