Hi there!:) My name is Ana, I am currently studying in Poland and **I am conducting research for my Master’s thesis. Research is focused on whistleblowing (reporting wrongdoing) perception in different cultures. I am planning to compare the perception of employees from Poland, Belarus, and Latvia** and find out if there is a correlation with the cultural characteristics of each country. This topic is becoming more and more popular in all countries due to big cases of fraud and scams being revealed thanks to whistleblowers (ex. Theranos, and Volkswagen cases), however, it is not yet clear how people in different countries perceive such actions. In some European cultures, it is still perceived as snitching.
I do not have any connections in Latvia, so I would be grateful for your participation. The questionnaire is based on 3 scenarios describing quite challenging situations that require some judgment and decision-making. You can find the English version of the questionnaire here: [https://forms.gle/yuv2yog9V2iVCM2eA](https://forms.gle/yuv2yog9V2iVCM2eA)
Thank you in advance!

Done 🙂
In short, if you work for government you will never be employed ever in any sector for rest of the life if you whistleblow even for the simpliest wrongdoing.
And if in military, well enjoy jail.
Latvia is very autoritarian when it comes to human liberties and rights, literally every thing needs to be banned or regulated when it comes to possesion of anything or having human rights like free speech that doesnt exist in this country.
And when it comes to private sector, we have sovok mentality where all workers will defend the boss that fucks us over instead of whistleblow on him
